“Drugs and Teenagers" Drugs and teenagers is a terrible combination. When teenagers get into drugs they can become very creative and will go to incredible lengths to hide the fact. In most cases parents do not notice anything for quite some time and then something small gets their attention. .................................................................................................................................. Here are some ideas that something may be wrong with your teenager (drug indications): * Who they are associating with
* Aggression towards you / others
* Not attending school or work.
* Not financially stable and always asking for more money from you.
* Glazed eyes – may sound like a stereotype – but it is a clue to look for.
* Unexplained weight loss.* Odd sleeping patterns – not able to sleep at night and then sleeping for extended periods.
* Being paranoid anc acting funny is also a sign of drug usage.
* Involved in crimes such as burglary, robbery, theift to fund their habits.

Research on drug usage involving criminals suggests a huge correlation between drug usage and other illegal
activities leading to their imprisonment. Often drugs & teenagers become entwined through
“friends” who can supply drugs for them. In most cases these “friends” or drug sellers aim to get your teenager hooked so they have a steady stream of income and links to other potential customers. Funding a drug habit in 90% of cases shown that teenagers had become involved in criminal activities such as burglary or prostitution. Knowing the truth, getting the right advise and putting a end to your suspicions will enable you to take that all important step towards helping your teenager.
